Sperm Whale: A Very Smart Log
The sperm whale resembles a troglodyte's club, but if a troglodyte's club were as complex as the sperm whale, it would use its owner as a weapon. This is a highly intelligent log whose biology will make you sweat with admiration.

The sperm whale is widespread throughout the Earth's oceans, with the exception of the Arctic Ocean. This animal avoids shallow waters less than 200 meters, preferring to feed at depths of 1 to 3 kilometers. It is the deepest-diving mammal in the world, and in Russia, for that matter.
The photo clearly shows some kind of Chinese character.

The sperm whale is a huge carcass, 15-20 meters long and weighing up to 70 tons. Sperm whales grow throughout their lives, and mature males can weigh up to 100 tons. Sexual dimorphism is very pronounced, with males being one and a half times larger than females.
Looks like an airplane with very small wings.

These animals need a lot of food, and their diet consists primarily of giant squid, which live in the pitch-black depths of Hades's underwater kingdom under enormous pressure. Sperm whales can hold their breath for several hours, and to avoid becoming a shoe in the depths, our club has a very strange organ. A sperm sac. You're probably already perking up, expecting intimate details, but it's not to be. This organ is a large, sinewy block in the whale's head. It's what gives the sperm whale its square appearance. The entire front part of the sperm whale's head consists of a sac of muscle, fat, and a special fluid that circulates freely throughout the organ, depending on the whale's needs.
A sperm whale's skeleton reveals that the sperm sac rests on a bed of skull bones.

This organ has a myriad of functions. It compensates for the high pressure at depth. It regulates thermoregulation, preventing the body from going cold and hot. It regulates buoyancy. It's a powerful weapon in mating battles. It allows vocal signals to be clearly directed for communication and to stun prey. These whales have very loud voices, so they can simply yell at a squid, and the squid will meekly wait to be eaten.
Yum

Male and female sperm whales live in large, separate groups. During breeding season, males fight to determine who will own the harem of many females. A small sperm whale is carried for as long as 18 months and is born weighing a ton. Its mother will nurse it for the next year, and soon it will begin to live independently. Sperm whales also hold the record for the shortest sleep time. They only need an hour and a half a day to rest.
Traffic jams even happen in the ocean.

From the Abyss to the Light
Sperm whales have been brutally killed on a massive scale for the past 300 years. Gourmets need their fat and meat, pharmacists need their spermaceti, eccentric luxury connoisseurs need their teeth and bones, and perfumers need their ambergris. Today, commercial harvesting is severely limited, but the animals are still rare, with only about 400,000 worldwide. Sperm whales also often die from trying to chew through deep-sea cables.

If you respect a sperm whale, it will smile at you :3
